Buenas folkeros les traigo a una banda emergente procedente de La Paz, Bolivia fue fundada a finales del 2008. Actualmente se están trabajando las canciones del segundo disco. Entre sus influencias mas notables se encuentran mayoritariamente las bandas españolas como Mago de oz, Saurom y landevir. tambien entre sus temas se encuentra un cover de la Gran banda de folk rock Progresivo Chileno "los Jaivas" también El 2010 ya con más presentaciones se animaron a lanzar su primer trabajo independiente denominado “Lejos de ser Ángel”, nombre de una canción que le dio el nombre al disco,  Este es un compilado de los temas que logre rescatar desde  la pagina oficial de la banda en facebook en el cual viene el tema un mundo mejor del futuro dico en el cual esta trabajando la banda.. disfruten.

Muy buenas folkers visitantes aquí les traigo una banda con su último disco, de las tierras Ecuatorianas, con temas propios y unos cuantos covers, que se demuestran en sus líricas muy orgullosos de haber nacido en tierras latinoamericanas e igual se nota un estilo muy de protesta y el alto orgullo y respeto a los nativos de sus tierras. Muy buen trabajo discográfico buena calidad y recomendable por mi parte.

Son originarios de arequipa-perú y fundada al rededor del año 2002, es una mescla de metal extremo y instrumentos nativos de la zona la cual hacen de manera muy satifactoria y es por muchos considerada la mejor banda de folk metal del perú.

Esta banda es procedente de la ciudad de Concepción, sus líricas están basadas en el pueblo mapuche y la actualidad de la represión que existe sobre el mismo. Inchin Ñielain Mapu significa  (No Tenemos Tierra) en mapudungun que es la lengua de los indígenas del sur de Chile.

This band is from the city of Concepción, his lyrics are based on the current Mapuche people and the repression that exists on it. Ñielain Inchin Mapu means (we have no land) in Mapudungun it is the language of the natives of southern Chile.

Que tal hermanos, el dia de hoy les traigo a esta joven banda llamada Black Souls, ellos son de Naucalpan, México, se formaron en el 2008 con el objetivo de dar a conocer sus raices mediante su música.
Black souls es un proyecto de black/death melódico con toques de folk prehispánico,.sus letras se enfocan en las antíguas culturas mexicanas, mitología, leyendas y personajes.
En 2011 sale a la venta su album debút, el cual es grabado y editado por una firma independiente administrada por el vocalista de la banda de power metal Dagoth (también mexicana)

Les recomiendo bastante a esta banda, la calidad de sonido es muy buena, tienen un ritmo veloz que saben mantener a la perfeccion en canciones largas, los pasajes tradicionales estan bastante bien elaborados y ejecutados.

I highly recommend this band, their have high sound quality, a speedy rythm which still perfectly in long songs, the traditional-music passages are well made and played.

Que tal camaradas, he regresado con un nuevo aporte, en esta ocasión traigo a una banda mexicana llamada Son Iok, ellos se originaron en 2006 en el estado de Oaxaca, su estilo es Death/Folk con una marcada influencia étnica, en sus canciones pueden oirse instrumentos tradicionales, sus letras hablan del folklore nativo, las culturas maya, mexica, tolteca, guerra y los valores ancestrales.
Hasta ahora solo tienen 1 demo y un disco,  los cuales les invito a descargar.

Hermanos de clan, me presento:
En el bajo mundo me conocen como Nébeda, soy de la ciudad de México y estare trayendo algo de buen folk periodicamente.

Esta es mi primera entrada, espero les agrade..

Traigo conmigo una muy buena banda de esas que poseen una combinación única de estilos, su nombre es Sinestesia y eran de Naucalpan, Estado de México.

De esta banda se sabe muy poco, solo tuvo la oportunidad de sacar un demo en el 2006 de muy buena calidad sonora, (pero una presentación un tanto austera) antes de desintegrarse tiempo después. Este proyecto es un metal gótico ligero bastante experimental, mostrando sonidos de la musica mexicana contemporanea, líricas un tanto burlescas, basadas en su mayoria en personajes del folklore mexicano; las voces (masculina en su mayoria) poseen una marcada influencia teatral un tanto operística inclusive llegando a rayar dentro del Dark Cabaret.

Juro que este discazo suena a esos pasajes de principios del siglo XX y es una pena que esta banda no haya dejado mas legado que este disco, el cual espero que disfruten clickando Aquí.

Si tienen curiosidad sobre algún tema tratado por las canciones de la banda, pueden poner su pregunta en los comentarios y yo la contestaré a la brevedad, recuerden que esto se trata de escuchar y compartir.

I bring with myself a very very good band, that possess a unique combination of styles; their name Sinestesia, and they were from Naucalpan, Mexico. I don't have many information about this band (because it's very hard to find it), they only had the opportunity to make a demo in 2006 with very good quality sound (but austere presentation) before disappear thereafter. This project sounds like gothic metal very experimental, incorporate melodies from contemporary Mexican music, their lyrics are a little burlesque, based mostly on characters of Mexican folklore; their voices (mostly male) have an operistic and damatic influence, such a Dark Cabaret band. I swear it, this sounds like those passages of the early twentieth century, unfortunately this band had no more legacy, just this album

Saludos folks! TENGWAR es una banda de Epic folk metal proveniente de Buenos aires Argentina, Formalmente fundada en 2003. el nombre de la banda proviene de  Las tengwar o tîw (que se traduce como letras) es un sistema de escritura basado en las lenguas que inventó J. R. R. Tolkien para su serie de libros mejor conocidos como El Señor de los Anillos.  El debut oficial de la banda fue el 09 de septiembre de 2004 con el original delos miembros fundadores Thorvi, Ferin, Tryzwen y Khali, además de un montón de músicos invitados, incluyendo Graëwyn, halatir que de inmediato se unió a la banda.  Su música combina una base de metal  tanto con influencias celtas y medievales populares y tradicionales de juego habilidoso que reúne a la mezcla particular que los distingue este es su primer trabajo de larga duración espero lo disfruten.

Saludos camaradas Folkheim es una banda Chilena proveniente de Antofagasta, fundada en el año 2003, en la actualidad se considera que son unos de los mejores exponentes del género en Chile, En el año 2004 lanzan su primer demo Touched by Thy Undisturbed Essence el cual fue el debut de la banda. Este demo muestra unBlack/Folk metal con una clara influencia de los fineses Finntroll. Este demo es presentado en el Festival de Bandas el 2004 (Antofagasta, Chile), donde logra una buena aceptación por parte del público, logrando ganar el 1er lugar. El 8 de mayo de 2007 lanzan este disco Pachakuti el cual nos muestra una evolución instrumental de la banda, donde se observa que es bastante osada, decidida y con muy buena calidad. En si este disco nos representa el camino que recorre la banda de un interesante, melódico, épico y bien ejecutado Folk Metal con elementos andinos tradicionales y por sobre todo con influencias europeas, donde destaca Finntroll.

Ulkannewen (la fuerza del canto) esta es una banda Procedente de un pueblo Mapuche al sur de Chile llamado Curarrehue, comenzaron a utilizar este nombre en el año 2009, se formaron a partir de dos agrupaciones el primero se trataba de un ensamble de música mapuche, clásica y celta y una banda de heavy metal/folk llamada Psalterion, todo esto a mediados del año 2005, habiendo como siempre cambios en el nombre y la formación es que les ha costado despegar ya que no existen músicos en su pueblo que compartan el gusto por el mismo estilo y tuvieron que darse el tiempo de aprender a tocar y formarse. Sus referentes fueron en un principio  bandas españolas, hoy en día luego de cambios tanto en los músicos como en sus influencias musicales pretenden llegar a representar de mejor manera su tierra que es la araucana y también su País combinando así toda la fuerza del metal con los variados estilos folclóricos que existen en Chile, en este compilado se encuentran temas que son todos de su autoría excepto el cover "Todos Juntos" tributo a la Gran banda Chilena de folk rock progresivo > Los Jaivas <. También pretenden mostrar el avance en sus composiciones ya que decidieron grabar los temas de sus inicios que carecen de técnica y composición y otros que son más actuales los cuales muestran su progreso y trabajo, en definitiva mostrar su historia musical variada y todas la ganas que tienen de seguir adelante entregando su música a quienes  les venga a bien.
